HOMECREDIT MUTUAL BUILDING AND LOAN ASSOCIATION is a financial institution established in 1932 and formerly known as "LA SALVACION SOCIEDAD MUTUA DE CONSTRUCCION Y' PRESTAMOS". In 1996, A change in ownership resulted in the change in corporate name to HomeCredit. In November 2001, Insular Life, the largest filipino life insurance company acquired 100% of the common stock of HomeCredit which now services 500 companies across industries in Metro Manila, CALABAR, CAMANAVA, and nearby provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, and in Cebu.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Insular Life Assurance Company, Inc., HomeCredit primarily offers contract savings for home ownership. It is geared towards a corporate approach whereby its various products/services are presented to employees of client companies. Once a company is accredited, HomeCredit encourages savings among its members that become an initial step towards home acquisition. It further assists them through different low down payment and amortization schemes. It has financial products that offer competitive rates for immediate cash needs and a “rent-to-own” promo that enables its members to rent houses at affordable rates and ultimately own the unit.
